Eileen Gray (1878-1976) is one of the most striking characters of the history of the decorative arts and architecture from the 20th century.
Her works, which have now become Art Deco and design classics, reach record prices in auctions.
Castellar is a re-issue of the mirror designed by Eileen Gray in 1927.
In 1924, in collaboration with the Romanian architect, Jean Badovici, Eileen Gray started to work on the E-1027 house.
Responsible for its furnishings, she created this very ingenious mirror.
Luxury gives way to simplicity and a practical shape.
With its geometric forms, Castellar is a mirror made up of a pivoting section letting the user see their profile easily.
Its chrome-plated metal frame surrounds a wonderful polished glass mirror with bevelled edges.
A perfect combination of aesthetics and efficiency…
