Gubi Coffee table Gold MetalThe Pedrera table from 1955 was inspired by Gaudi’s building in Barcelona with the same name.
In 1955, the property company behind Gaudi’s famous building La Pedrera in Barcelona wanted to convert the attics, which were primarily used for storage, into flats.
The company therefore contacted the Spanish architect Barba Corsini.
Corsini designed 13 individual flats, numbered 1-14 due to superstition.
The assignment also entailed designing furniture including the Pedrera table to complete the overall architectural experience of the flats.
Corsini achieved great international recognition for his architecture and design for La Pedrera.
The Pedrera table comes with a steel base and an organic shaped glass top.
Design by Barba Corsini.
